We kicked off the first of week of 2017 with the third annual JazzBuffalo Poll. The poll offers readers of JazzBuffalo, audiences of jazz, and jazz artists to recognize their favorite jazz artists and performances in 2016. The JazzBuffalo Poll Winners Announcement Concert featuring the Jacob Jay Quintet, Saturday, January 7 at 7:30 pm at the Meeting House
This Saturday, the jazz community of jazz artists and audiences has an opportunity to come together as one in a celebratory fashion. We will be announcing the winners of the JazzBuffalo Poll in 30 categories and handing out winner award certificates. The Jacob Jay Quintet, led by Rising Star and Trumpet nominee, Jacob Jay, will provide the jazz music for the evening. An awesome young quintet with dynamic originals, as well as, a bright future. Come out on Saturday to applaud the winners and to hear great jazz. Entrance is $5 to help support the event and the JazzBuffalo Poll. No better way than to kick-off the new year with a jazz brunch in the warmth of the Hollow Bistro and its fireplace. See and hear vocalist Maria Sebastian and JazzBuffalo Poll organ nominee Ron Davis as they do their unique blend of jazz-folk and jazz blues. The French ConeXion at the JazzBuffalo Jazz at the Meeting House, Tuesday, January 10 at 7 pm
See the French ConeXion on Tuesday, January 10th at the JazzBuffalo presents Jazz At The Meeting House. This new group will feature a unique blend of jazz standards, musette, Brazilian, and other styles. Featured are Bernard Kunz on guitar, Jeremy Spindler on accordion, and Marc Cousins on bass. The Meeting House is located on Main Street in the heart of the village of Williamsville.

Catch saxophone extraordinaire Bill Todd from New York City, home for the holidays, with Ben Levitt on bass, David Phillips on drums, and also home for the holidays, Matt Michaud on guitar at Nietzsche's on Thursday, January 5 at 9 pm.
At the Historic Colored Musicians Club on Sunday, January 8 at 6 pm, the fun group calling themselves the Dunder Mifflin Project will play the first hour of the weekly jazz jam. The group will feature Pam Beesly (Jared Tinkham)- Electric Guitar, Andy "Nard Dog" Bernard (Alec Dube) - Vibraphone, Oscar Martinez (Jacob Jay) - Trumpet, Kevin Malone (Joseph Goehle) - Upright Bass, and Stanley Hudson (Dave Philips) - Drums
