One of the aims of JazzBuffalo is to provide opportunities for both jazz musicians and jazz audiences to enjoy and appreciate jazz. Since JazzBuffalo began, we have provided many musicians with an opportunity to perform to an appreciative audience. The JazzBuffalo and Hollow Bistro & Brew First Saturday Jazz Brunch
This popular jazz brunch usually features a jazz duo or trio in a beautiful setting with a sumptuous brunch menu at the Clarence Hollow location of the Hollow Bistro & Brew. Performances start at 11:30 am.
The JazzBufalo and 189 Public House Sunday Jazz Series
In its second year, this series takes place every 3rd Sunday of the month at 189 Public House in East Aurora. Bringing a diverse yet high-quality blend of jazz to the 189 stage. Enjoy great food and drinks here as well!
The JazzBuffalo and Road Less Traveled Productions Theatre Jazz Series
This new series that began in Septemeber 2016, features great jazz in the architectural gem of the lobby built in 1914 of the old Forbes Theater and Buffalo Christian Center building on the corner of Pearl and Tupper. There will be 8 scheduled Wednesday in the fall of 2016 and 9 Wednesdays in the spring of 2017. Concerts get underway at 7 pm.
JazzBuffalo and MusicalFare Theatre
JazzBuffalo and MusicalFare Theatre have enjoyed a 2-year partnership that has brought local and national performers to the Premier Cabaret Lounge Stage. In addition, JazzBuffalo has produced themed performances around Lionel Hampton, Bossa Nova, and Bobby Militello's Concert Tribute to Dave Brubeck. Performances have included five sold-out shows for Buffalo native and jazz vocalist Paul Marinaro. Look for future performances at this fabulous venue.
JazzBuffalo, in Association with Pausa Art House, Concept Performances
JazzBuffalo is proud to work in association with Pausa Art House to bring concept performances that focus on specific jazz artists, different styles of jazz, and jazz history. Thus far, there have been concept performances dedicated to Kenny Burrell, Freddie Hubbard's CTI Years, and the piano jazz artistry of Red Garland. Look for upcoming concept performances on the jazz guitarist Grant Green and a celebration of the sounds of the B3 Hammond entitled "In The Groove".
Coming Soon! Jazz @ The Meeting House Jazz Series
The Meeting House is a historic landmark in the village of Williamsville. Built in 1871 for a religious congregation, the venue will now offer an intimate setting for jazz audiences appreciating the art of jazz in a listening space.
